Erie Contracting employs skilled craftsmen that excel in careful removal, restoration and reinstallation of all historic elements, whether that be wood, metal or plaster. Items are removed from the site and taken to a specialized shop area at their facility in Lancaster, NY to be stripped, repaired and painted or stained as per the State Historic Preservation Office and National Park Service guidelines. Historically restored items are then returned to the site for final installation.
Erie Contracting became a state certified hazardous material removal company in order to facilitate project scheduling with other services they perform. Erie Contracting found that with handling the abatement process and demolition they are more in control of historic elements that must be carefully removed for reinstallation at a later date by their skilled finish carpenters.
